If you’re not able to get Trimbox working for your Gmail account, the 3 steps below will let you confirm that you’re doing everything right.
When it comes to downloading apps and extensions, Chrome treats each profile completely separately. So let’s make sure that you’ve downloaded Trimbox for the Chrome profile that you’re currently trying to use. Here’s how:
On your computer, visit Trimbox on the Chrome Web Store.
If the button says “Add to Chrome”, then you haven’t installed Trimbox yet. Just click the button to install. If the button says “Remove from Chrome”, then you’ve already installed Trimbox and you can proceed to the next step.
On your computer, open gmail.com with the email address that you’re trying to set up with Trimbox. Trimbox should automatically appear with a popup to let you sign in with your Gmail account and get started.
But if you aren’t seeing that popup, then you may have disabled Trimbox for this account. Here’s how you can check:
Click on the Trimbox icon in the top right corner of your Gmail window:
A popup should appear. If the popup has a button to “Enable Trimbox”, then just click on it and follow the steps to sign in with your Gmail account and give Trimbox all necessary email permissions.
Otherwise, Trimbox has already been enabled and you can continue to the next step.
If you’ve gone through the previous steps and Trimbox still isn’t working, then something strange is going on.
